In his book Slovenia Miraculous<\/strong> Marko Poga\u010dnik writes about 12 dimensions of Earth’s space<\/strong>, which he incorporates into his research of places and landscapes, and includes a comprehensive approach to the Earth. He says: “Slovenia is a part of geomantic system that allows the connection between the belly of the Balkans<\/strong> and the heart area of Central Europe<\/strong> … Like the groin, the Alps<\/strong> divide the composition of the Balkans from the ‘chest’ of Central Europe, where the vertical nature of the continent intersects with its horizontality. The spine of Europe intersects with the diaphragm of the Alps.<\/em><\/p>\n

It depends on the geomantic system of the wider Slovenian area whether the belly and heart of Europe cooperate with each other or not, whether there is a conversation between them, or whether communication is broken. The question of the relationship or non-relationship between the two duplicates in the body of Europe becomes fatal if we are aware that the Balkans embody the sources of life itself, and Central Europe is the source of the meaning of existence. The Slovenian area<\/strong>, connected to the Pannonian Plain, Plitvice, the Adriatic Sea, Venice, and Grossglockner, holds the key to communication between the abdomen and the heart<\/strong> …<\/em>“<\/p>\n

In the book Our Love Is Our Power<\/strong> it’s author Sharon McErlane<\/strong> writes this about Slovenia:

It is situated in the middle of the mountains, close to the sea, and its location resembles a button on a coat. Slovenia connects and holds things together.<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n

In the documentary Where to invade nex<\/strong>t, director Michael Moore<\/strong> calls Slovenia Sleeping Beauty<\/strong> and the magical Fairy Kingdom.<\/strong> It caught his eye because of all the natural beauty and because we are one of only 12 countries in the world where you can study for free.<\/p>\n

The film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was also filmed in Slovenia, as well as Death Train and Winnetou in the past, and, in recent years, Hollywood films such as The Union ….<\/p>\n

Waterfall Kozjak<\/strong> near Kobarid – settlement is known for the 1917 Battle of Caporetto, where the Italian retreat was documented by Ernest Hemingway<\/strong> in his novel A Farewell to Arms<\/strong>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The legend says, that in the past also crusaders<\/strong> on their way to the holy land, stopped on one of the beautiful hills in Slovenia to rest and then decided never to leave this place. About this true story wrote Amos Oz<\/strong> in his novel Judas<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

“… Until one summer evening, at sunset, they arrived in a small valley surrounded by high mountains, in the middle of the country we now know as Slovenia. In their eyes, this valley was a divine oasis, full of springs and meadows and green pastures, adorned with small forests and vineyards and flowering orchards, and there was also a small village built around a well, a stone paved square and granaries and barns with sloping roofs.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sheep grazed on the slopes, and here and there were peaceful cows in the meadows, and geese walked around. The villagers were calm and relaxed, and the dark-haired girls were happy … So the Crusaders conferred and decided to call this blessed land Jerusalem and end their arduous journey …<\/em><\/p>\n

They built twenty or thirty modest huts, assigned a field to each man, paved the roads, and built a small church with a beautiful bell tower. Finally, they married girls from a nearby village, had children who grew up in their Jerusalem and splashed happily in their Jordan, walked barefoot through the forest of Betlehem …
<\/em><\/p>\n

And so they live to this day … a pure life, a free life in a holy city in the Promised Land … and all this without bloodshed and endless battles with hostile unbelievers. In their Jerusalem they live peacefully and happily, each under his own vine and fig tree. Until the end of their days …”<\/em><\/p>\n
